Smallmouth bass on the Fly
Thursday, June 24th, 2010Smallmouth bass on the Fly I was at a local lake for a guided Hybrid trip and when we got back to the dock I got my 2/3wt out of the truck and explored the back of a little cove just down form the ramp. I was expecting some bluegills and LM Bass. I ended up catching about a dozen Smallmouth bass. Nothing big but these things were frisky little guys. I dropped this one 2 times while trying to get a picture.
Many times while bringing in small sunfish came up from behind a dropoff and hammer the little guys. I didn’t have anything in my box that would get down to them. I think I had as much fun on my own as I did with the guide…lol
