I am selling an excellent (for its age) J. W. Young Medium Wide fly reel.
This reel measures 3 1/2″ and will hold a DT7 with 25 yards of backing.
The reel has a dual line guard and the retrieve is easily converted.
This particular Beaudex was manufactured in the mid to late 1960s.
This is a particularity fine example and has not been fished a lot.
A great reel, with a touch of class and nostalgia, for trout or smallmouth fishing.

I just own too many 3 1/2″ reels!
Wouldn’t sell it but am funding a new rod.
The reel foot has some scratches and there are a few very miniscule rubs to the outer rims.
That’s it. Otherwise the reel is excellent with a very sweet purr!

So here I am Tying Catskill Style Dry Flies. Its a pattern created by Leonard Wright. I would like the exact patterns recipe so I could tie it the right way. Any help is appreciated.

Trying to catch red fish fly fishing and catch halibut. I was casting to a few Red Fish flipping bait in the shallows. These guys kept nailing the fly first every time. Frustrating.

Playing with Trout fishing photos sure can tell it is TOO hot to fish. I starting playing with photos.
