I got out the fly rod today and put the hurt on………….

Fly fishing Crappie bass bluegill

Total today:

15 crappie
11 Bass 2 of which were over 5lbs
1 Smallmouth 15 incher
1 koi Monster of a fight…
10 bluegill/green sunfish

This pond is hot right now clear and no weeds yet.. once the weeds hit the gills will be cooking

I love the Allen Reel its has great drag control and looks sweet too

Fly Fishing Catfish and Perch is fun when it’s you’ve been told the fishing is great and it’s only 30 minutes from the house. To nights fishing tip definitely proved some times we all get a bone thrown to us.

The fishing trip started slow with  drum So I moved to a different location and the fish or strikes hit every cast or every second cast. Landed over 40 drum and 7 or 8 cats.

Biggest cat was a 38 3/4-inch pig. She was so heavy! Well over 30 lbs.

Caught a few smaller ones in the 32-35-inch range.

They were hitting everything but my most productive fly was a purple marabou and was a great night and am definitely heading back out tomorrow.
